“Early Childhood Day” and “Children’s World Is Bigger than the Screen” together for high quality childhood development
Telekom Srbija has supported the “Early Childhood Day” event, dedicated to play, learning, children’s development and support for parents, further contributing to creating a stimulating environment for healthy and high-quality childhood development.
The sixth “Early Childhood Day”, organized by the Yellow Trousers Association and the Museum of African Art, gathered children, parents and professionals at a day-long program dedicated to play, art, development and support for family. Through workshops, counselling and other activities, young children had the chance to explore, create and learn through their personal experience, while the parents were granted access to professional content and advice.
This event is a natural follow up to the socially responsible campaign entitled “Children’s World Is Bigger than the Screen”, through which the company emphasizes the importance of balanced use of digital devices and encourages creating more room for play, movement and active interaction with children with the world that surrounds them.
The program included the educational and inclusive “Toys with a Purpose”, developmental and speech therapy counselling, and content intended for parents. This year’s program connected the topics of childhood and sustainability through activities dedicated to nature and recycling, as well as the exhibition dubbed “Say: Art – Waste as a Resource”, which emphasizes new possibilities of using waste materials.
The event offered the possibility to both Telekom Srbija employees and their families to spend the day with their children, in nature, play and discovering new content together. The message of the campaign “Children’s World Is Bigger than the Screen” thus gained a direct meaning – through time spent together, conversation, movement, creation and play.
By supporting “Early Childhood Day”, Telekom Srbija continues to raise topics important for children, parents and the community, and contributes to creating a stimulating environment for growing up. When the children’s world is bigger than the screen, there is more room for play, exploration, social interaction, and authentic experiences through which the children discover and understand the world around them.
