Selection process for the prestigious television award to be held in Serbia for the first time
Belgrade, 29 May 2025 – Telekom Srbija, a leader in the field of telecommunications and cinematographic production in this country and the region at large, will be hosting the Semi-Final Round of Judging for one of the categories for the prestigious International Emmy® Awards competition, which recognizes excellence in international television. A Semi-Final Round of Judging for the aforementioned award will be held in Belgrade for the first time, which puts our capital side by side with world metropolises that have hosted this distinguished event in the past, such as Madrid, Berlin and Tokyo. This event also attests to Telekom Srbija’s position as a regional leader in the production and distribution of feature content, which, through its engagement, continuously contributes to the development of Serbian culture and cinematography.

The International Emmy® Award, which has been awarded by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, headquartered in New York, for more than 50 years now, is one of the most prestigious awards in the field of television production in the world. The selection process traditionally relies on carefully selected Members companies as Hosts, whose credibility contributes to the impartiality, quality and relevance of the award.
Telekom Srbija has positioned itself at the very top of the film and series industry in a short time, and with its engagement in this project, it once again confirms that it is committed to improving the domestic cinematographic scene and its profiling on the international plane. This is testified to by the fact that, over the more than 50 years of the presentation of the International Emmy® Awards, some of the hosts of the Semi-Final Round of Judging process have included the most famous global production companies, such as Warner Bros Discovery, Walt Disney Company Latin America, Brazil’s Globo TV and others.
Telekom Srbija’s success in the field of feature content production is also attested to by the fact that this year’s Semi-Final Round of Judging process is hosted by the world-famous production companies Netflix, Amazon Studios and Dubai Studios amongst many others, in addition to this company. Winners for each category will be officially announced during the InternationalEmmy® Awards ceremony to be held on 24 November in New York.
