The mts 5G mobile network has been rated the best in Serbia’s cities, according to a benchmarking analysis conducted by Germany’s NET CHECK company in the five largest cities in the country. Based on detailed measurements carried out by the mobile network benchmarking company in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac and Subotica in December 2025, mts achieved the highest scores across all segments.
mts was awarded the recognition for the best city 5G following extensive measurements and analysis of the findings. A report from NET CHECK says that mts scored 990 (989.98) points out of a possible 1,000 as follows: 696.53 (out of a maximum of 700) points in the data transmission segment and 293.44 (out of a possible 300) points in the 5G signal coverage segment.
Not only did mts score the best overall results, but it also outperformed its competitors in each of the cities individually. The 5G signal coverage in the five cities accounts for 96.55%.
“We are immensely proud of the results achieved, given that in less than two months, we managed to almost completely cover the largest cities in Serbia by 5G signal. This is yet another proof of the impeccable quality of the mts network, primarily owing to its efficient planning and sizing pending the introduction of 5G technology and existing fibre optic infrastructure. This recent technology provides new possibilities primarily in the domain of digital services and innovations, which is of particular importance for the business sector,” a statement from Telekom Srbija said.
