At the celebration of the fifth National Day of Giving, established at the initiative of the Serbian Philanthropic Forum and the Coalition for Charity, which was held on October 9, on the birthday of Mihajlo Pupin, a great Serbian innovator and philanthropist, Telekom Srbija was once again awarded the Charter for its contribution to the “Save Food, Save Humanity” campaign. Jelena Đondović, the corporate philanthropy manager, received the charter on behalf of the company.
This year’s National Day of Giving is dedicated, like last year, to raising the community’s awareness of the need for more support in increasing food donations to the most vulnerable groups, reducing food waste that is still safe for human consumption, ways to donate food and raise funds to buy groceries for vulnerable groups, as well as improving cooperation between the corporate sector, civil society organizations and individuals in the sphere of food donation.
By providing support to the “Save Food, Save Humanity“ campaign, aimed at one of the most humane philanthropic goals – food donations to those in need, Telekom Srbija also strives to contribute to the overall development of the culture of giving in society.
